I create oil paintings that can foster a personal spaciousness and room to breathe. These images of space and place where living souls may enter, take root, and grow. I paint spaces and places that invite souls to deepen connections and expand meanings.

I started painting with acrylics in the late 60's, selling a few during graduate school and a summer art fair in my hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin. But while I've never wandered far from my creative core, I have worn many different career hats -- each one revealing an inner spark of creativity.

What makes space become a place? How about the addition of walls, trees, hills, shorelines, or buildings? When space is shaped, split, carved and given purpose, it will become place and take on meaning.
